DINFOS Hall of Fame

The Defense Information School (DINFOS) Hall of Fame honors distinguished alumni, living or deceased, who have made extraordinary and lasting contributions at the highest levels in public service, industry, the military or academia for at least 20 years. Nominees may come from the fields of public affairs, public relations, print journalism, photojournalism, broadcast journalism, visual information, photography, videography, multimedia, or broadcast maintenance engineering and other related fields.

Re-enlistment aboard a museum ship, the USS Wisconsin (BB 64)

MA1(EXW) Micah Cannon, from the USS Bataan (LHD 5) re-enlisted aboard the USS Wisconsin (BB 64) in front of members of his command. The Wisconsin is one of four Iowa-Class Battleships that is preserved as a museum ship, and is moored permanently next to the Hampton Roads Naval Museum in Downtown Norfolk, Virginia. The museum is part of the Naval History and Heritage Command, and the Wisconsin, along with the museum's gallery, are popular venues for area commands to hold military ceremonies.
