From Washington, D.C.

Take 295 (Baltimore-Washington Parkway) north past I-495 (Capital Beltway) to the 175 East Odenton exit. Exit eastbound onto Route 175 and continue for 2.3 miles, turn right onto Reece Road. You will then pass through the Ft Meade gate and should be prepared for security checks. You may be required to stop at the Visitor Control Center (located immediately on the right after you enter Fort Meade). Once through the gate, follow Reece to MacArthur Rd. Turn left on MacArthur Rd and continue to the traffic light. Turn right onto Mapes Road and continue to the second light, and turn left onto Taylor Ave. Follow Taylor Ave to the fourth driveway and turn right. You will then be in the DINFOS parking lot.

From Baltimore

Fort George G. Meade is an installation dedicated to providing quality support to service members, Department of Defense civilian employees, family members, and military retirees located in Odenton, Maryland approximately halfway between Baltimore and Washington, D.C.

Airports

The Baltimore/Washington International (BWI) Airport serves the post, located approximately 10 minutes away. Taxis are available in front of the terminal. Approximate taxi fare from BWI to Ft. Meade is $50.
Important: Some taxi companies are not allowed on the installation, make sure you bring your contact phone number with you in case of difficulty upon arrival at the gate.

Driving

If you will be driving a vehicle on post, whether it is a government vehicle, privately owned or rental, it must be registered. Rental cars may be issued a temporary pass to enter the various Ft. Meade gates.

The Baltimore/Washington D.C. corridor has a high volume of traffic during most hours of the day; please drive carefully while traveling to Fort Meade.

**Students are advised to retain all receipts from expenses incurred from commercial ground transportation, as they may be entitled to reimbursement.
