The ink may fade, but the memories will not
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Two volumes of the Polish Declarations of Admiration and Friendship for the United States rest on a table at the Library of Congress in Washington on May 6, 2016. The 111 volumes of the set, a thank-you card sent in 1926 from Poland to the United States, contain about 5.5 million signatures more than one-sixth of Poland’s population at the time.
