Lt. Col. Kim Bender is the Deputy Commandant and Dean of Faculty & Academic Affairs of the Defense Information School at Fort George G. Meade, Md. She earned her commission into the Air Force in 2006 from Texas State University. She is a career Public Affairs officer who has served in leadership positions at Joint, Major Commands, Number Air Forces and installation levels as well as performed information operations on the Joint Staff.

David M. Fee is the Chief of Staff for the Defense Information School. He assumed this position in August 2017. In this capacity, he oversees all staff actions, quality assurance, command group functions, and he ensures operating policies and procedures are developed and followed.

First Sgt. Gerald T. Woods, a Florence, South Carolina native, enlisted in the U.S. Army in 2007 as a visual equipment operator-maintainer. He has served in
various leadership and technical roles across multiple assignments and deployments. He currently serves as the acting command sergeant major of the
Defense Information School at Fort George G. Meade, Maryland.

Rhonda Gambill, Acting Provost
Rhonda Gambill serves as the acting provost of the Defense Information School, overseeing academic operations, accreditation and student support for
more than 2,600 students annually. A seasoned educator and retired Air Force Reserve chief master sergeant, she brings more than 25 years of military and academic leadership experience to the role.

Don Smith, Director of Training
Don Smith is the Director of Training for the Defense Information School (DINFOS) in April 2019. As the DOT, Smith leads a highly-diverse team of more than 200 joint-Service military, Department of Defense (DoD) civilian and contract instructors responsible for the professional development and education of over 1,500 military, DOD and inter-agency civilians and international students annually in the public affairs and visual information career fields.

Lt. Col. Angel Jackson, Director of Public Affairs & Communication Strategy Directorate
Lt. Col. Angel Jackson is the Director of the Public Affairs & Communication Strategy Directorate at the Defense Information School. She oversees seven strategic communication and visual information courses, the mobile training program, as well as the International Military Student program.

Lessie M. Lampkins, Director of Logistics
Lessie M. Lampkins has been the Director of Logistics for the Defense Information School since October 2021. Her role is to oversee all logistical, facility and physical security operations within the schoolhouse.

Glenn Stewart, Acting Director of Plans and Technology
Glenn Stewart serves as the acting director of plans and technology at the Defense Information School, overseeing technology products and services that support the school’s training mission. A retired Air Force veteran, he returned to DINFOS after a 20-year military career to lead advancements in broadcast, visual and digital systems. Stewart’s leadership continues to drive innovation that enhances training for DINFOS students.
