Lessie M. Lampkins has been the Director of Logistics for the Defense Information School since October 2021. Her role is to oversee all logistical, facility and physical security operations within the schoolhouse. After serving 8 1/2 years in the Army as Army Information Systems Operator (74D) Ms. Lampkins started her civilian career as a DOD Contractor in 1999, with SSDS, Inc.

Ms. Lampkins is an avid runner. In her spare time, you can find her training for her next race. She has run the Army 10 Miler seven times. In October of 2023, she successfully completed the Marine Corps Marathon. Ms. Lampkins is the mother of two sons, who she affectionately calls the “heartbeats outside of her chest.”
