DINFOS Hall of Fame

The Defense Information School (DINFOS) Hall of Fame honors distinguished alumni, living or deceased, who have made extraordinary and lasting contributions at the highest levels in public service, industry, the military or academia for at least 20 years. Nominees may come from the fields of public affairs, public relations, print journalism, photojournalism, broadcast journalism, visual information, photography, videography, multimedia, or broadcast maintenance engineering and other related fields.

1AD DSB becomes leader in predictive sustainment analytics

1st Armored Division at Fort Bliss, Texas, has become a leader in predictive sustainment analytics. In less than a year, through disciplined employment of the Transformation Decision Analysis Center, Digital Source Collector–Rugged system into motor pool operations, the 142D Division Sustainment Support Battalion, 1AD Division Sustainment Brigade, has improved platform awareness and increased maneuver readiness and lethality for the entire division. The Atlas Battalion, with oversight from 1st Armored Division Sustainment Brigade, has successfully modernized their Heavy Equipment Transporter fleet management resulting in more than $700,000 in cost-avoidance and preventing approximately 1,923 days (5.2 yrs) of non-mission capable time.
