Reporting Instructions for Entry-Level Students
(from Marine Combat Training or others in the entry-level pipeline)

All Marines with orders to Marine Detachment Fort Meade or the Defense Information School (DINFOS) will report to 8545 6th Armored Cavalry Road, Fort George G. Meade, Maryland 20755.
Travel in civilian attire. Marines will be provided a barracks room and further instructions upon arriving.
Do not arrive in the Service Alpha uniform. On the first work day after arriving, new-join Marines will report the Marine Detachment Administrative Section for in-processing. Ensure you have your Service Record Book, Original Orders, and your military identification card in your possession.
All entry-level Marines must arrive with their full uniform issue from Recruit Training, pack your belongings in the same seabags and uniform bags you were issued. Marines should bring appropriate civilian attire for leave and liberty periods. Marines are encouraged to bring very little personal belongings due to limited space within the barracks.
Upon arrival Marines will be provided bed linen and a pillow, which is loaned on a temporary basis. After that Marines are responsible for their own linen and pillow. Barracks rooms are situated with three to four Marines per room, with each getting a wall locker and set of drawers. Each room has a shared head for the room occupants.
It is recommended that Marines arrive with enough basic overnight toiletries for the first few days.
