The Savanuck Library is located in room 1161, just inside the main entrance to
DINFOS. It is open 0700-1700, Monday through Friday. We are closed on the
weekends and on all Federal holidays.
Our goal is to provide professional assistance to students, faculty and staff in
searching for, accessing and retrieving information, whether in print,
electronic, or Web-based format. The focus of our print collection reflects the
courses of instruction at DINFOS: journalism, photography/photojournalism,
broadcasting, public affairs, etc., although we increasingly operate in the
virtual environment through links to Web-based databases and indexes and to Web
sites.
The library has 24 public access workstations, on all of which are loaded the
software students need to complete many of their class assignments. Printers, a
photocopier, and VCR/DVD players are available for use. A small conference room
accommodates groups engaged in private study sessions.
Library staff welcomes any questions or comments about the Savanuck Library.
